The number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel256.com\/safaris\/gorilla-tours.html\">mountain gorillas<\/a> individuals and families increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\n occasion was held at the one of the luxurious Kampala Serena Hotel, \njoined by representatives from stakeholders in the tourism sector, \nconservation, ambassadors and the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prof.\n Ephraim Kamuntu the Minister of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities, \nconfirmed that as per the December 2018 survey in Bwindi Impenetrable \nNational Park, Uganda had a record&nbsp;459 mountain gorillas counted in 50 \ngroups; with 13 solitary individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-very-dark-gray-color wp-block-paragraph\">When combined with her sister, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Uganda still restates its spot as home to over 50% of the world&#8217;s total population of mountain gorillas, an additional boost to gorilla safari tourism in this East African state of region<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at the launch, the Minister of Tourism mentioned that the number of gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park had increased from 36 families in 2011 to 50 groups in 2018 leading the Virunga massif, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel256.com\/safari-news\/2019\/03\/uganda-gorilla-tracking-experience-in-bwindi-impenetrable-forest\/\">gorilla<\/a> groups stand at 41 families according to the latest census results of mountain gorillas living in the Virunga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It&#8217;s\n not just the gorillas we have. We also have about 11% of the world&#8217;s \nbird species, all of Africa&#8217;s big five, a huge population of \nchimpanzees, excellent weather, the source of the world&#8217;s longest river,\n a happy and fascinating people and more.
